Jill McFarlane joins Redhorse Corporation as Chief Financial Officer

Jill McFarlane joins Redhorse Corporation (Redhorse) as chief financial officer (CFO), effective February 6, 2023. In this role, McFarlane will lead Redhorse’s budgetary and financial operations from her extensive experience in the finance industry including program management, mergers, acquisitions, and federal contracts while working collaboratively with our chief growth officer, chief operating officer, and chief delivery officer in support Redhorse’s commitment to transforming the way government interacts with and uses data and technology.

“I am very excited to have Jill McFarlane join the Redhorse Team. The job of CFO is increasingly becoming more than just managing budgets. Jill’s proven ability to think beyond just finance to develop strategies, drive performance, and manage risk will enhance the Redhorse brand and valuation.” states Redhorse CEO John Zangardi

Jill brings approximately 30 years of in-depth financial and federal contracts experience to Redhorse, with 15 years specifically in support of the Department of Defense. She most recently served as the chief financial officer with Brillient Corporation, continuing her experience as an accomplished CFO. “I began my career modestly as a staff accountant and diligently worked my way up through the various careers to senior leadership roles within the government contracting industry. This first-hand experience provides me with an understanding of the challenges and responsibilities companies are faced with in order to successfully provide leadership and insight for a sound financial direction and the foundation needed for growth,” McFarlane stated.

Prior to Brillient Corporation, she held the position of Sr. VP and CFO of Technical and Project Engineering LLC where she focused on program management, analysis and support as well as acquisition support and management programs, most predominately for the Department of the Army. McFarlane also served as Controller for multi-million government contractors L-3 Titan, Apptis, and Athena Innovative Solution, and VP Controller for KEI Pearson which spanned industries from the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, various Healthcare sectors, and other agencies within the National Security community.

While working full-time in a very demanding career, Jill steadfastly earned a Master’s degree in Administration from Marymount University and is currently a mentor with the nonprofit organization CFO Rising where she proudly helps the next generation of financial professionals.
