Department of Energy names Redhorse 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business of the Year
The Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) presented Redhorse with the FY 2017 Annual Small Business Award: 8(a) Small Disadvantaged Business of the Year at the 17th Annual DOE Small Business Forum and Expo in Houston, Texas.
“This award recognizes the outstanding performance of a small business, certified by the U.S. Small Business Administrations 8(a) and/or Small Disadvantaged Business programs, for their exceptional performance in activities contributing to core DOE mission accomplishments,” according to the DOE OSDVU.
Redhorse has been supporting the DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) since 2013. Redhorse was the successful protégé on the Catalyst joint venture prime contract to provide business administration and support services (BASS) from 2013 through the end of 2017, then became the mentor in the successful recompete of the BASS contract as part of a new joint venture, Northbound Solutions. In each of these joint ventures, Redhorse has been a major support partner for DOE and has demonstrated innovative practices that have led to significant improvements in the EERE operations and mission.
