Redhorse Awarded FirstNet Technical and Engineering Task Order
Redhorse was awarded a PBSN technical and engineering resources task order to support The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet). This task order was awarded under the $67.2 million blanket purchase agreement awarded to Redhorse in September of 2013. The purpose of FirstNet is to establish, operate, and maintain an interoperable public safety broadband network. The new wireless broadband (4G/LTE) network will equip and empower emergency first responders in performing their critical missions of saving lives, property, and protecting and serving the public.
The work under this task order includes assisting FirstNet personnel with program management leadership and engineering oversight and review of network requirements. Redhorse will assist with the continued assessment of vendor responses, synthesize the responses into written recommendations for desired network specifications, and develop written recommendations for a deployment plan. This work bolsters Redhorse’s technology services offering which includes cyber security, information assurance, data center & cloud architecture, data analytics, and wireless network design expertise in support of both government and private clients.
