Redhorse Awarded GSA 8(a) STARS II Contract
Redhorse was awarded a prime contract for the General Service Administration (GSA) 8(a) Streamlined Technology Application Resource for Service (STARS) II Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). STARS II is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract engineered to provide cutting-edge technology solutions to Federal agencies world-wide.
STARS II allows for directed orders under the $4.0 million competitive threshold, and is a faster alternative to time-consuming, costly full and open competitions – saving time and taxpayer money.
The scope of the 8(a) STARS II is centered on IT services and solutions, and includes ancillary services and equipment to deliver a total solution as well as telecommunications, wireless, and satellite products and services. The contract offers simple to complex IT service solutions such as IT help desk support, information assurance, cyber-security, virtualization, IPV6, Web 2.0, and other services that fall under the following Functional Areas (FA) / North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code combinations:
- FA1 – NAICS 541511: Custom Computer Programming Services
- FA2 – NAICS 541512: Computer Systems Design Services
- FA3 – NAICS 541513: Computer Facilities Management Services
- FA4 – NAICS 541519: Other Computer Related Services
Redhorse was awarded services in all four Functional Areas as well as Constellations I and II, offering not only competitive pricing but also additional technical proficiency and industry credentials. With a new order placement period through August 30, 2021, and order performance period through August 30, 2024, STARS II provides agencies with a streamlined acquisition vehicle to support long-term planning of large-scale IT program requirements with proven, highly qualified, and pre-competed firms.
